Principal’s Welcome

Welcome to Bethany College, a centre of quality Catholic education for girls from Year 7 to Year 12.

Bethany College had its beginnings in 1993, when the rich traditions of the Sisters of St Joseph and the Sisters of Charity were combined to meet the educational needs of girls in the St George area of Sydney, NSW.

In 2018 the Bethany community is celebrating 131 years since the Sisters of Charity began teaching Catholic children here on the Hurstville Campus.

2018 is also our Silver Jubilee year as a College, 25 years since we were established in 1993. Our recent HSC results resulted in our College being ranked 89th in the State of NSW (this includes all schools, selective, independent and systemic Catholic schools). This makes Bethany College the top ranked Catholic systemic school for girls in the St George region. It also places Bethany College as the fourth top secondary systemic school in the entire Archdiocese of Sydney.

The College community members are enjoying the wonderful facilities – an expanded Library, new Office and Administration block, state of the art facilities for Visual Arts, Performing Arts, Senior Study Space and Senior classrooms.

For parents considering applying for enrolment for their daughters, we look forward to answering your enrolment enquiries and welcoming you and your daughter into the Bethany College Community.
